Plaintiff filed a Complaint alleging causes of action against AYA Healthcare Services, Inc., for violating California’s Labor Code under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
AYA denies it violated this, or any other provision of California law. The Parties agreed to settle this matter, and the Court approved the amount to be paid in civil penalties.
All persons who were employed by AYA Healthcare Services, Inc. as non-exempt travel nurse employees, including nurses, therapists, and other allied healthcare employees, within the State of California, at any time from August 26, 2017 and December 31, 2024 (“Aggrieved Employee”).
Your Individual PAGA Payment was calculated by (a) dividing 25% of the PAGA Penalties by the total number of PAGA Pay Periods worked by all Aggrieved Employees during the PAGA Period and (b) multiplying the result by each Aggrieved Employee’s total PAGA Pay Periods.
